AW17 Wardrobe Planning: Key Colours

It's already mid-September! Although I'm jetting off to sunnier climes (Lisbon to be exact, leave me recommendations below!), I definitely have a keen eye on my AW17 style direction. As ever, the aim is consistency and curation rather than fast fashion fads thus I'll be making stylish strides into the new season, with a planned method of attack.

Am I going to be strict with myself this season? Well, I'll try but those in the know, know that I can never resist temptation. Nonetheless, setting the intention is a decent chunk of the battle.

In addition to my usual palette of black and grey (with the occasional white piece), I'm gravitating towards camel and red. Camel, in my opinion, is the neutral for the not so neutral. I find that it's a neutral that really suits me and allows me to break out of the sometimes monotonous black and grey combination, without needing to delve too deeply into the complexities of colour co-ordination. Red is a big colour for AW17, and rightly so. It's a power colour, dangerous, daring and definitely not for the fainthearted - the perfect colour to inject a little spice into the dreary Autumn/Winter days. Plus red and camel go perfectly together!
